Water project, HOPE Now presented at Rotary

Kingman Route 66 Rotary Club’s November 1 speaker was Cindy Vawter (shown with club past-president Becky Fawson). Cindy gave a presentation on the Tanzania African Water Project in which her late husband and fellow Rotarian, Don Vawter, was very much involved and to which the club donates. KINGMAN – Kingman resident Marcia M. Peterson donated substantial amount to the Mohave County Sheriff’s K-9 Foundation Nov. 4. During the presentation of the check that occurred at the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office in Kingman, Peterson received a plaque from the K-9 Foundation for her most generous donation that will be used by the K-9 Foundation. BULLHEAD CITY  – Mohave Electric Cooperative members who purchased Operation Cool Shade trees are reminded to leave Saturday morning’s schedule open. Pickup is 7 a.m.-noon, Saturday, at the Justice Complex parking lot across from the Public Works Department on Alona’s Way. “It’s the only time to pick up the trees,” said Steve Bouman, energy management specialist at MEC.
