LAKE HAVASU CITY – At approximately 2:00 a.m. on Friday, November 30 , a fire was reported by the homeowner in the 3000 block of Janet Drive. The occupants discovered fire in the garage and evacuated the residence. The first arriving fire company reported heavy fire in the garage area with the fire quickly turning into defensive fire conditions. Five engine companies, one truck company, two battalion chief’s, and a division chief responded to the fire and gained control of the fire within 80 minutes. There were no reported injuries. Activities will reduce the threat of wildfire to adjacent communities KINGMAN – The Bureau of Land Management’s Kingman Field Office, in cooperation with the Pine Lake Fire Department, Mohave County Parks Department and Mohave County Department of Risk and Emergency Management, will conduct prescribed burning near the community of Pine Lake as well as inside Hualapai Mountain Park, starting in early December and continuing through early February, as weather and fuel conditions allow.
