Seven new COVID-19 cases; three under age 20

MOHAVE COUNTY –  The Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified Saturday evening of seven new COVID-19 positive cases in Mohave County. Two of the cases are in the Kingman service area. One is a person in the 55-64 age range, who is hospitalized and is linked to another case. MCC awards over $1.1 million in scholarships to local high school students

MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave Community College just awarded more than 560 scholarships to high school students throughout Mohave County, which totals $1.176 million going toward students achieving higher education. The college is currently notifying students to let them know they qualify for the Academic Honors Scholarship worth $1,000, Campus Dean’s Scholarship worth $1,500 or the President’s High Honors Scholarship, which gives students $4,000 over two years. “MCC and our Foundation partners are happy to offer scholarships to so many deserving students from Mohave County. Kingman woman charged with embezzling $250,000 from Nucor Steel

UPDATED 05/01/2020: TO CORRECT HEADLINE KINGMAN – Nucor Steel believes an employee stole more than one-quarter million dollars in a company check conversion, personal deposit scheme. A multiple month investigation led to Wednesday’s arrest of Christy AnnLopez, 42, Kingman. MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ (May 1, 2020) The Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified this afternoon of two COVID-19 related deaths and eight positive cases. City offices to remain closed to the public until May 11

KINGMAN – In following Governor Ducey’s Executive Order (2020-33) the amended “Stay Home, Stay Healthy, Stay Connected,” the City of Kingman is continuing the current closures of all city buildings (except the Municipal Courthouse and Cerbat Cliffs Golf Course) to all public access until May 11, however we are still conducting business remotely, through mail, email, online platforms, and telephone. No special event permits will be issued for the month of May. This does not implement a curfew in the City of Kingman.
