Technology recycling event set

KINGMAN – The Mohave Community College Computer Club, MC4, will be hosting a technology recycle drive on Saturday, April 27 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Kingman Public Works yard, 3700 E. Andy Devine Ave. They will be accepting computer components, recorders, MP3, video players, DVD and VHS players, digital cameras, radios, telephones, and printers. They will not be accepting TVs, car batteries or items containing freon. Club members will be available to remove hard drives from computers.

Airway Avenue Lane Closure Scheduled

KINGMAN, Ariz. – On Tuesday, April 16, 2024, the City of Kingman will be closing the right lane of Airway Avenue heading eastbound in front of Smith’s Food & Drug. This closure is necessary to replace the sidewalk. The road closure will be in effect from 2:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. and the sidewalk will remain closed for 24 hours. Grimes testifies against others in child porn case

KINGMAN – Ian Grimes used a testimonial plea agreement as a get out of jail free card, but the convicted sex offender will still have consequences for possessing electronically transmitted videos and images of child pornography. Ten counts of sexual exploitation of a minor are dismissed in exchange for the conviction of Ian Grimes, 37, on a single count of attempted sexual exploitation of a minor. The Mohave County Attorney’s Office afforded leniency because Grimes has agreed to testify against two other alleged child sex offenders.
