I was appalled at the trash, that is left behind by all of our visitors, using the river for their entertainment, every weekend.
During the week, it stays clean, but Friday, Saturday and Sunday a total trash can. The trash cans have no purpose.
FT. MOHAVE – The Department of Public Safety (DPS) has partially updated details regarding a motorcycle traffic fatality in Fort Mohave.
KINGMAN – A mini-billboard hangs crooked at its post near the railroad tracks along Route 66 in downtown Kingman.
LAKE HAVASU CITY – A health event may explain a traffic fatality in Lake Havasu City. Police report that 26-year-old Colton Colebrook was found unresponsive following the single vehicle collision at 11:42 a.m. on Aug. 14 in the 2300 block of Havasupai Avenue.
KINGMAN – Crews working to suppress the lightning sparked Element wild fire have held acreage to 5,364 acres 12 miles north of Kingman as the Bureau of Land Management demobilizes and reassigns personnel.

Since most of my letters begin in a negative spirit, I’d like to start this one in a positive vein.
I sincerely offer my heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Development Services Director Scott Holtry, Public Works Director Steve Latoski, the Mohave County Public Land and Recreation Advisory Commission, and the Mohave County Supervisors for their combined actions to oppose and prevent yet another underhanded resource grab against the hapless citizens of Mohave County.
