All camping, backcountry permits suspended at Grand Canyon

GRAND CANYON –   As of March 27, Grand Canyon will offer very limited services outside those that support visitor or resource protection. At Grand Canyon National Park, the following services and operations will be suspended:   Backcountry permits for camping at Bright Angel, Indian Garden and Cottonwood campgrounds All access to Bright Angel, South Kaibab and North Kaibab trails  Camping reservations at Mather Campground South Rim Trailer Village The health and safety of visitors, employees, volunteers, and partners at Grand Canyon National Park is the number one priority. The Arizona Department of Economic Security and the Arizona Department of Health Services, Crisis Response Network and 2-1-1 Arizona has launched a new, statewide COVID-19 Hotline.
