KINGMAN – A few dozen demonstrators peacefully protested during the first hour of a Black Lives Matter rally in downtown Kingman Tuesday. More than 20 uniformed officers and plain clothes detectives manned the perimeter of Locomotive Park while motorists viewed protest placards while driving by. Armed members of the Arizona Patriots occupied one corner of the park, standing vigil against violence. Organizer Shai Weaver reiterated that the goal is a peaceful protest and she pledged to shut it down if there’s any threat of trouble. Dave Hawkins

KINGMAN – The Kathryn Heidenreich Center (KHAC) will be open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Guidelines for reopening are social distancing, frequent hand washing, wear a face covering, avoid touching face, and stay home if sick. KHAC staff will disinfect frequently touches surfaces. Lysol and wipes will be available to all member. Room capacity is 10 -15 people per large room. MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave County Library District has reopened library facilities to the public. Due to the pandemic, a number of changes have been made for the health and safety of library customers and staff. A trip to the library will temporarily be different than in the past, but the library is still able to connect customers with information and materials. Customers can still pick up holds, use computers, and obtain new materials for check out.  The most significant change for many is that there is no physical browsing of the collection.
