Alleged child pornographer arrested

LAKE HAVASU CITY – A Lake Havasu City man was arrested last month following an investigation of child pornography that began early this year. Daniel Knight, 27, was booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention facility for sexual exploitation of a minor. The investigation began in February after a woman contacted Lake Havasu police. She said she discovered dozens of images of child porn in a file in the phone that was returned after she allowed Knight to borrow it. Golden Valley house fire claims kids

GOLDEN VALLEY – Two deaths and multiple serious injuries are reported in a Golden Valley house fire. Authorities responded at 12:25 a.m. to the blaze in the 4800 block of N. Elgin road. Mohave County sheriff’s office spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said three adults and five children were in the home when it caught fire. “Two female children, ages 4 and 11, were located deceased inside the residence after the fire was extinguished,” she said.
