KINGMAN – Meeting new people is hard to do for young professionals and new people coming to the Kingman area. The Kingman Young Professionals group was created to provide opportunities for young leaders to build relationships with other young professionals and to connect with the community. The first meeting of the Kingman Young Professionals Group will be held Friday, May 7, at 5 p.m. at the Powerhouse/Kingman Visitor Center, 120 W. Andy Devine Ave. Games, food and drinks will be provided. Upcoming group events will include hiking, sports, social hours and service projects. Superior Court Judge Gurtler retiring

MOHAVE COUNTY – The Honorable Charles W. Gurtler is retiring and resigning his position as Presiding Judge of Mohave County Superior Court. Gurtler, a resident of Fort Mohave who presides in Bullhead City, informed Arizona Governor Doug Ducey of his decision to step down on June 30 in an April 14 correspondence. “Entering my 27th year on the bench, I find that it is time to pursue other interests,” Gurtler’s resignation letter said. “I thank the citizens of Mohave County for allowing me to faithfully serve them these many years.” Gurtler handled mostly juvenile matters while serving as Judge Pro…
