Albert Jose Hernandez III

Albert Jose Hernandez III died on February 24, 2025 at his job in the gold mines of Winnemucca, Nevada where he was a resident. He was a beloved father, son, uncle, brother, boyfriend, family man and friend to many before his untimely death due to complications stemming from his asthma. He was born on June 10, 1998 in Las Vegas, NV.  He is survived by his two sons, Julian K. Hernandez (3) and Emmanual G. Hernandez (2). His father Albert J. Hernandez Jr and step mother Karla I. Hernandez. His mother Pamela J. Hottel  and step father Jeffery A. Hottel. His sister Melinda M. Evans and brother in law Michael Evans. His half siblings Crystal A. Paine and brother in law Adam Paine, Iliana N. Hernandez, and Carlos A. Hernandez. Lastly by his step siblings Johanna B. Abrego-Diaz, and James D. Diaz.

Albert or as he was known by all of his closest friends (AJ) was well loved by many. He brought so much positive energy into any room he walked into. If only he could be here now to make us all laugh in this dark time. His infectious smile and goofy laugh will be so missed at every gathering from now on and forever. He will be remembered in so many special ways but most importantly for being the greatest father. He dedicated his entire life to his children the moment they were born. Until his very last day he fought to give them the best life he could. That unwavering loyalty and dedication spread not only to his children but to his family, his friends and his work. Albert was the guy you call when you need someone. He was the best listener with the biggest heart that truly knew no bounds. To know him was to be cared for in such a unique way. He absolutely loved being around people, in fact I believe he was the definition of a people person. On any given day off you could find him playing pool, barbequing, watching movies, going on a drive but regardless of the activity he was never alone. He chose to spend every moment he had with people that brought him joy. AJ was an impulsive person in the very best way. He led life with his heart wide open. Sadly, his life was cut tragically short at 26 years old before he had a chance to fulfill his dreams and accomplish his goals. Despite the circumstances his spirit will live on in the connections and memories he made. While his image will live on through his beautiful children.

From one of his favorite childhood movies: “You only meet your once in a lifetime buddy, once in a lifetime” – The Little Rascals

Albert, thank you for being our once in a lifetime buddy.

Memorial service and reception will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Journey Church, 3782 N. Bank St., Kingman.
