No injuries reported in garage fire

LAKE HAVASU CITY – At approximately 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, , a garage fire was reported in the 3000 block of Sombrero Dr. The first arriving fire company reported fire coming from the garage doors. Four engine companies, one truck company, and a battalion chief responded to the scene and gained control of the fire within 15 minutes. The occupants evacuated the house safely. There were no reported injuries.

Ten CERT members responded to the fire to assist with rehab duties for the firefighters. Crews remained on scene an additional three hours conducting salvage operations, with an additional fire crew remaining on scene for fire watch. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
