LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. – A second Lake Havasu City resident expected to be released from custody after entering a plea agreement to resolve his drug case on Sept. 30. Robert Butler, 43, pleaded guilty to attempted transportation of dangerous drugs for sale.
Butler admitted traveling to Bullhead City with co-defendant Kira Fiscella, 40, who previously admitted she bought about an ounce of methamphetamine for $310. The pair was arrested during an Aug. 4 traffic stop, and almost 31 grams of methamphetamine concealed under her clothing were seized during the booking process at the police department jail.
Fiscella was released after 50 days in custody when she pleaded guilty to attempted transportation of dangerous drugs for sale on Sept. 24.
Butler thought he would be released following his change of plea hearing on Sept. 30, however he remained in custody at the Mohave County Adult Detention facility on Oct. 1. The Sheriff’s Office said it appeared he was being held on arrest warrants issued from other jurisdictions.
Terms of his local plea agreement require probation placement with no further jail time at an Oct. 27 sentencing hearing.
