Alwina “Winnie” Brand-Nolan, 75, of Golden Valley, Arizona, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026. Winnie made the Kingman/Golden Valley area her home for nearly 30 years, where she became a cherished member of the community and touched countless lives with her kindness, compassion, and generosity. Winnie is survived by her devoted husband, Cliff Nolan; her daughter, Donna Echegoyen, and son-in-law, Angel Echegoyen; her sons, Ian and Patrick Nolan; her daughter-in-law, Amanda; her granddaughters, Racquel “Rockie” Prado and her husband Christian Prado, Katie Smith and her husband Tyler Smith, and Daisy Echegoyen; her great-grandsons, Carmine and Oliver Prado; her great-granddaughter, Harper Smith; and her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Throughout her life, Winnie worked hard to serve others. She held positions with the City of Kingman, the Ford Proving Grounds, as a realtor, and for the past decade as the night auditor at Best Western. Winnie quietly supported local charities throughout the Kingman area and was a longtime supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
One of the greatest blessings of Winnie’s life was her enduring love story with her husband, Cliff Nolan. They were friends for more than 20 years before marrying and shared over 30 years together as husband and wife. When Cliff’s first marriage ended, Winnie stepped into the lives of his sons, Ian and Patrick, loving and raising them as her own. She was their mother in every way that mattered. Her love extended to her daughter, Donna, her grandchildren, and the family she welcomed and gathered throughout her life.
Those who knew Winnie will remember her as a selfless friend who was always ready to help, comfort, and encourage others. She had a gift for making people feel welcome and cared for, and her compassion left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She loved dragons, all things whimsical, motorcycles, and science fiction. More than anything, she loved being a good person—and she truly was. She was deeply loved, and everyone who knew her spoke of her kindness, generosity, and unwavering heart.
Winnie was an amazing woman who gave so much to so many. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she shared and the lives she touched will continue to live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and community.
A memorial service celebrating Winnie’s life will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Desert View Funeral Chapel, 2215 E. Northern Avenue, Kingman. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor her memory, share stories, and celebrate a life filled with love and compassion.
