LAKE HAVASU CITY – A Lake Havasu City woman has been placed on probation for her involvement in a southern California drug run with her partner and a friend. Savannah Ketchersid, 29, was sentenced Wednesday by Mohave County Superior Court Judge Derek Carlisle.
Ketchersid entered a plea agreement convicting her of a charge reduced to attempted transportation of a dangerous drug for sale.
A police report indicated that Ketchersid, her boyfriend Zachary Davis, 34, and Zachary Stuart, 32, Huntington Beach, traveled from Lake Havasu to California to purchase drugs in Santa Ana. Ketchersid reportedly drove back to Arizona with the men and 55 grams of fentanyl before stopping at the Love’s gas station outside Lake Havasu.
Deputy Mohave County Attorney Jacob Cote said the men summoned an Uber ride from that location and that the drugs were seized when the Uber was stopped for speeding.
Ketchersid was stopped after she trailed the men back into Lake Havasu City. She was considered to be the least culpable of the trio.
Judge Carlisle placed her on probation for five years. Ketchersid was credited for 62 days in custody and no further jail time was ordered.
Charges are still pending in the Davis and Stuart cases.
