KINGMAN – The City of Kingman Public Works Department will begin chip sealing operations on multiple residential streets in District 4 starting Monday, May 11, through Friday, June 12. Work is scheduled to take place weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. as part of the city’s ongoing roadway maintenance program aimed at extending the life of existing pavement and improving neighborhood streets.
Phase 1 of the project will begin near the intersection of Airfield Avenue and North Rainbow Street, with crews progressing south to north and west to east throughout the designated work area. Residents are encouraged to review the attached Phase 1 map to determine whether their street is included in the initial construction area: https://www.cityofkingman.gov/home/showdocument?id=10531&t=639138246145510081
Maps for Phases 2 through 4 will be released in the coming weeks as the project progresses.
During this time, drivers should anticipate lane restrictions, reduced speed limits, and possible travel delays. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes when available and follow all posted signage and traffic control devices to ensure the safety of workers and the traveling public. The City of Kingman reminds every one of the importance of maintaining safe and smart driving habits in work zones, and at all times, when operating a motor vehicle.
