Police Department Facility Improvements Support Operations and Public Assets

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Lake Havasu City improved the rear parking area of the Police Department facility, enhancing operational efficiency, security, and long-term asset preservation.

The rear parking lot deteriorated over time and was no longer sufficient to accommodate the patrol fleet, employees, and larger vehicles. The project addressed these needs through repaving the lot, installing new concrete parking areas beneath shade structures, and expanding the site to better support daily operations.

Additional improvements include the creation of a designated, secure area for evidence-related materials, new lighting, cameras, and an electronic gate, to support investigative work and help maintain integrity and security. Replacing the existing roadway section provides a better surface and helps preserve the subgrade for many years.

The project was approved by the City Council on October 28, 2025, and was awarded to Pioneer Earth Movers, Inc., in the amount of $544,361.30.

Construction began in December and was completed in March, ahead of schedule and under budget.  Projects like this are evaluated alongside other infrastructure priorities to ensure City resources are used effectively across all service areas.

Lake Havasu City remains committed to maintaining critical infrastructure and public safety facilities while being responsible stewards of taxpayer resources.
