Minor injury in Havasu House fire

LAKE HAVASU CITY – At approximately 6:27 p.m. on Sunday, February 8, the homeowner reported a fire in the 2900 block of Dogwood Drive. The occupants discovered smoke and fire in the garage and evacuated the residence. The first arriving fire company reported a working garage fire with smoke coming from around the closed garage doors and from all attic vents. The occupants were alerted by smoke detectors and evacuated the house safely. There was one minor injury to a firefighter. The Desert Hills Fire Department moved up to Lake Havasu City to assist with multiple other 911 calls during the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
