LAUGHLIN, Nev. – Aquarius Casino Resort and Edgewater Casino Resort continued their longstanding holiday tradition of supporting Laughlin-area families in need through the 14th annual Christmas Tree Silent Auction and the “Feed-A-Family” initiative, raising $16,050 and helping feed approximately 2,036 local families.
The Christmas Tree Silent Auction ran from Wednesday, Nov. 5 through Sunday, Dec. 14, with all proceeds benefiting the Feed-A-Family program, which provides holiday meals to families throughout the region. The Feed-A-Family initiative also accepted donations through Thursday, Dec. 25, including contributions of True Rewards points, with every 25,000 points collected providing a box of food for a family of four. Together, these efforts helped ensure local families were able to enjoy a festive holiday meal.
The Aquarius and Edgewater Casino Resort teams also raised additional support through a toy drive held from Friday, Nov. 7 through Saturday, Dec. 13. In addition, the team donated a total of $5,399 to the River Fund Non-Profit through their ongoing team member rummage sale.
“Laughlin is a small town with a big heart, and these programs let us show that every year,” said Jeremy Jenson, senior vice president and general manager of Aquarius and Edgewater Casino Resorts. “It’s amazing to see guests, team members and neighbors come together to make sure families have a warm meal on their table during the holidays. That’s what this season is really about – community helping community.”
Since the program began in 2012, Aquarius and Edgewater have helped feed thousands of local families.
