KINGMAN — Kingman City Magistrate Jeffrey Singer has been named the 2026 recipient of the prestigious Copper Sword Award by the Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame Society (AVHOFS), recognizing his long-standing commitment to supporting veterans and their successful reintegration into the community.
The Copper Sword Award is presented annually to one Arizona non-veteran whose personal actions have made a significant and lasting contribution to the well-being of military members, veterans, their families, survivors, and their communities. Judge Singer is the 19th recipient of the award since its inception in 2007 and the first judge to be selected for this honor. He is also among the first recipients from rural Arizona communities to be recognized with the Copper Sword Award.
Judge Singer created the Kingman Veterans Treatment Court in 2015, a specialized program designed to support justice-involved veterans through treatment, accountability, and community support. Under his leadership, 130 veterans have successfully graduated from the program, returning to their communities as law-abiding and productive citizens.
“This truly is the greatest honor of my legal career,” Singer said. “I am so grateful to receive this award, and it reflects the amazing work of everyone on our Vet Court team.”
The Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame Society cited Judge Singer’s dedication, compassion, and measurable impact on the lives of veterans as central reasons for his selection.
The Copper Sword Award will be formally presented during a ceremony on May 1 in Mesa, Arizona.
