Nighttime Milling and Paving Operations Underway to Enhance Mesquite Avenue

LAKE HAVASU CITY — Lake Havasu City continues to move forward with essential infrastructure improvements along Mesquite Avenue, between Riviera and Acoma, to support ongoing upgrades and paving operations. This work requires temporary nighttime road closures and detours to ensure the safety of both workers and the traveling public.

Nighttime milling operations began on Monday, June 9, at 7:00 p.m. and continue until 9:00 a.m. on June 10. Nighttime paving operations begin at 7:00 p.m. on June 10 and continue until 9:00 a.m. on June 13.

Eastbound traffic is redirected at Civic Center to McCulloch Boulevard, and westbound drivers detour via Acoma to McCulloch Boulevard. However, this is a rolling operation, meaning crews progress along sections of Mesquite Avenue, shifting detours accordingly as work moves from Riviera toward Acoma.

Motorists are advised to allow for extra travel time and to follow posted detour signs throughout the construction period.

Lake Havasu City appreciates the public’s cooperation and understanding as we work to enhance roadway safety and improve the City’s infrastructure.
