KINGMAN – The City of Kingman Police Department is now accepting applications for a paid Part-Time Police Intern position. This opportunity is designed for individuals interested in a future in law enforcement or public service, but who may not yet meet the age requirements for the police academy or are still considering whether that path is right for them.
Ideal candidates are those currently enrolled in, or who have recently completed, high school, a GED program, trade school, or a college/university course of study. This internship offers a behind-the-scenes look at law enforcement through hands-on experience and professional mentorship.
Interns will assist with department operations, observe day-to-day activities, and contribute to meaningful projects all while gaining valuable exposure to the inner workings of public safety and community policing.
Minimum qualifications include:
- Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
- Must be currently enrolled in or recently completed a qualifying educational program.
- Must pass a background check and meet integrity and conduct standards.
- Must possess strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Must hold a valid Arizona Driver’s License or have the ability to obtain one within six months of hire.
