LAKE HAVASU CITY — Two teenagers being pulled by a boat on an inflatable tube were tossed into Lake Havasu when struck by a personal watercraft (PWC) whose operator reportedly fled the scene of the Sunday, May 25 incident near Site 6.
The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) said the teens were knocked from the tube in the collision that occurred after the PWO operator struck the tow-line. A 14-year-old girl was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries while the 17-year-old male was not hurt.
A search led to the location of the PWC and its operator in the North Basin of the lake, hours after the accident. Erin House, 53, Jurupa Valley, California was arrested for leaving the scene of an injury accident.
