Ballet Havasu to launch Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland

LAKE HAVASU CITY  –This weekend Ballet Havasu will be presenting the timeless tale of Alice in Wonderland with their version titled, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

Havasu Ballet Studio Director Melanie Preston of the nonprofit dance school, has brought the Lake Havasu community into a world of wonder and fantasy with the company’s production of The Nutcracker last December.

This spring, Preston will intrigue audiences once more along with the help of three instructors of the company; Marcus Bugler, Stepanie Schmidt, and Cassandra Betancourt.  The classic fairytale written by English Author and Illustrator Carroll Lewis, was released in 1865 and has been an audience favorite for over several decades.

Alice in Wonderland tells the story of a young Victorian English girl, who dozes her way into an imaginary epic dream in a world called Wonderland.  What makes the story even more compelling, is the dreamlike land is filled with the popular we all love characters like Tweedledee, Queen of Hearts, the Cheshire Cat, and many more.

Experience the magic yourself ,as doors will open for the two day performance on Saturday, April 27 beginning at 4 p.m., and Sunday, April 28 at 2 p.m.  Both shows are scheduled to take place at Lake Havasu Unified School District Performing Arts Center.

This show is free to the public however donations are always open so that performances like these can continue to thrive.
