Cashless society

letter to the editor

Dear Editor,

I was at one of our local supermarkets last week and paid for my groceries with a check. The checker politely informed me that by the end of this year checks would no longer be accepted. I told her I guess I will shop elsewhere then.

She said it was not just her store, but all stores as the banks were the ones making the changes. She said cash would not be accepted either. The man in line behind me asked if that meant we had to use credit cards.

She informed us that it would be all digital, as in “they” were going to put chips in our wrist just like the chips put in dogs. I told her I am an American citizen, not a dog and that I would not allow anyone to put a chip in me.

She said she guessed I would not be eating then.

What is next? Putting a permanent mark on our foreheads? Like the mark of the Beast? Seems to me we need to let our government know we are not animals to be herded into the vet to get a chip implanted into us so we may buy food.

Read your Bible (if you have one). Read Revelations. Then pray!
