New Arizona National Guard license plate design announced

PHOENIX – The Arizona Department of Emergency and Military Affairs have officially selected its new license plate design, available for purchase.

Plates can be ordered online at azmvdnow.gov, the Motor Vehicle Division’s new online platform. If you are purchasing a National Guard license plate for the first time the cost is $25 for a non-personalized plate and $50 for a personalized plate. For personalized plates, there is a six-character limit for a standard size plate and a four-character limit for a motorcycle size plate.

If you have a current National Guard plate, you do not have to apply for the new design, both versions will be valid for use. If you do want the new design, you can apply for a plate replacement online. When ordering, select “damaged” as the reason for replacement to avoid a new plate number and format from being issued. Those with a personalized plate other than the National Guard can apply for the new design online.

$17 of the fee goes to support programs and services for the men, women, families, and mission of the Arizona National Guard.
