MOHAVE COUNTY – As colder weather moves through Arizona, the cold and flu season is in full swing. Respiratory viruses are also wreaking havoc in the lives of thousands as the new year begins. To increase access to free testing for uninsured people in the state, Sonora Quest Laboratories is continuing their Increasing Community Access to Testing (ICATT) program in partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) starting Monday, January 6 by offering a combination COVID-19 and Influenza A & B test.
The test is available to those who are symptomatic or asymptomatic with known exposure and do not have insurance. Samples are collected using a swab inserted into the nose and results are available within 2-4 days. Results are uploaded to the patient’s portal which can be set up easily. In addition to no-cost COVID-19 and Influenza A & B testing through ICATT, Sonora Quest Laboratories is also offering 20% off on all tests offered through its MyLabReQuest program. These self-ordered lab tests can be ordered without a doctor’s order and enable patients to get a quick understanding of their health with regard to specific deficiencies or levels of particular hormones and other key markers in the blood and urine.
