KINGMAN – The City of Kingman is proud to announce the launch of a new eProcurement Portal on December 5th, a major step toward modernizing its procurement process. This initiative, in partnership with OpenGov, will provide a streamlined, user-friendly platform that replaces the City’s current paper-based system. The eProcurement Portal will offer an automated, web-based solution for managing formal bidding and solicitation processes, benefiting both vendors who do business with the city and City staff. By transitioning to this electronic system, the City aims to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accessibility for all parties involved.
Key features of the eProcurement Portal will include:
* Vendor Registration: Vendors can create an account and subscribe to receive email notifications about new bidding opportunities.
* Real-Time Updates: By following solicitations, users can receive automatic updates, amendments, and addenda.
* Streamlined Communication: Vendors can submit questions and receive answers electronically during open solicitations.
* Simplified Submissions: A seamless, guided process for submitting responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Invitations for Bids (IFBs), and other formal solicitations.
* Centralized Access: A single online location for all formal bid opportunities issued by the City, as well as select informal quote requests.
Effective December 5, electronic submissions through the portal will be required for all formal solicitations. Paper submissions will no longer be accepted, except for those solicitations posted before this date. This change does not apply to purchases under $50,000.
The City’s finance department has worked diligently to ensure a smooth transition to this new electronic system. “This new system will save taxpayers money by reducing administrative costs, eliminating paper waste, and streamlining the bidding process,” said Deputy City Manager Tina Moline. “It’s a win for the City, vendors, and the community, creating a more efficient and transparent process for everyone involved.”
