Arizona Thunder to debut at Concert in the Park

KINGMAN – Sounds of Kingman will continue its Concert in the Park series on Sunday, June 28 with Arizona Thunder. The concert will be held at Metcalf Park at 4 p.m.  This concert was rescheduled from May 17, a process that involved meshing the availability of artists and venue. Sounds of Kingman looks forward to having Arizona Thunder for the first time on the stage. The group has been together for about two years, joined by their mutual passion for music. Business opportunities for guided diving on submerged B-29

BOULDER CITY, Nev. -The National Park Service is offering two business opportunities to operate guided scuba diving tours on the B-29 Superfortress submerged within Lake Mead. The plane crashed into Lake Mead July 21, 1948, while engaged in high-altitude atmospheric research. The crew of five survived the crash, but the plane was lost in the depths of the lake. It was discovered by local divers in August 2001. In June 2003, archeologists from the National Park Service Submerged Resources Center mapped and documented the wreck for management and educational purposes. Vogt charged in weapons offense, endangerment

KINGMAN – Robert John Vogt Jr., 44 of Golden Valley, was arrested and charged with multiple felonies on Sunday, June 14 for his alleged role in a shooting. According to a Mohave County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson, deputies responded to the area of Bank St. and Jagerson Ave. for a reported weapons offense, and were advised that Vogt had shot two rounds into his brother’s vehicle that he had collided with. Havasu mom takes plea in baby’s death

KINGMAN – It took a half dozen tries, but a Lake Havasu City woman charged in the death of her toddler daughter has finally entered a plea agreement. Brittany Rodriquez, 27, pleaded guilty Wednesday (June 17) after balking at change of plea hearings conducted on March 19 and June 10. Judge Billy Sipe noted that no fewer than six change of plea hearings had been scheduled on Rodriquez’ behalf while her case has been pending. Rancho Santa Fe Interchange approved

KINGMAN – Mayor Jen Miles said Tuesday’s Kingman City Council approval of an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) is a big step forward after years of planning and effort involved with the Rancho Santa Fe Interchange project. She said the IGA with the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) for phase one involves construction of the Interstate 40 interchange and short arterial extensions to the north and south.
