KINGMAN, Ariz. – A Kingman man said he is “deeply humiliated and humbled” by engaging in conduct leading to convictions for child molestation charges involving three underage girls. Nathan White, 43, said his legal ordeal has motivated his interest in obtaining a master’s degree in theology and leading a productive post-prison life.
“My biggest regret is not committing my life to Christ earlier,” White said at his July 1 sentencing hearing.
Impact statements read into the record on behalf of two of the victims detailed their anguish, anxiety and destruction of their sense of safety.
“They have suffered significant physical and emotional harm,” Judge Ryan Esplin told White. “You violated in the most horrible way these individuals, their privacy and their bodies. This was horrible to do.”
It was noted during the hearing that White has an extensive criminal history and has been to prison at least three times, mostly involving property crimes.
Judge Esplin ordered an 18-year prison term for White, followed by lifetime probation. “I hope you spend the rest of your life trying to make amends,” he said.
