What do you want your tax dollars funding?

Dear Editor,

I want to thank first of all The Standard newspaper for the privilege of allowing me to share week after week with the people of faith and others in Mohave County. Thank you all very much. Today I’ll be brief, as I call every Christian or all red blooded Americans, of faith or not, to heed what is happening here in America and globally.

I want to draw your attention to a few terms, hoping that you’ll educate yourself on what is transpiring. Most people are unaware as I was, until a couple of years ago. These terms are “Critical Race Theory, Intersectionality, Wokeness, Social Justice, Systemic, and Equity.” Now don’t think you know what these terms mean, nor think they are harmless. I will not attempt to try and explain these here, but I’m here pleading if you will, to get informed and stand firm against this ideology. I became aware of this when I witnessed a large evangelical denomination adopt these two terms as ” tools” they stated. Folk’s Wokeness, CRT/I, comes out of Marxist ideology. This mindset has permeated our society and embedded itself in places that would shock most, as I was.

If you recall recently President Trump had called on all federal employers to stop teaching Critical Race Theory, and wow was I stunned. To say I was happy to hear that, would be an understatement. To think that any institution in America will not be dominated by this ideology, including the church, is absolutely foolish in my opinion. I certainly don’t want any of my tax money funding the very thing that is going to destroy everything America was intended to be.

My advice is simple. Pray, get informed, and get involved. For Christians, we will stand firm as God has instructed us as we take the truth of God’s word into the world, regardless of the pressure upon us. I highly recommend a YouTube channel called, “Sovereign Nations” to help you get started. By the way, Jesus is King!
