Veterans United Arizona to celebrate female veterans

LAKE HAVASU CITY — Next week Veterans United Arizona will be celebrating the many contributions of female veterans.

For the past six years, the Lake Havasu military nonprofit has been primarily known for providing outreach for former service individuals that meet low income requirements for housing.  The organization seeks out those former service members who are eligible for receiving these benefits.

Other assistance and efforts the team can give is transportation to clinics, yard cleaning, and even home repairs. Veterans United Arizona supports other like minded local groups like the American Legion Auxiliary.  Together they have previously sent items like food boxes to deployed military.

In honor of the upcoming Women Veterans Recognition holiday, the team has planned a special occasion to pay respects to the day that the New York State Assembly declared should be a yearly celebration in 2008.

The salute dates differ from state to state; however, the homages remain the same, so be sure to mark this commemorative event on your calendar.

The Women Veterans Day Recognition Luncheon will be on Thursday June 12 from 11am to 1pm at AZ Rebel Republic. Space is limited and more information on how to reserve your spot can be discovered by calling Veterans United Arizona directly at 928-302-9547.

The value that this holiday gives is to acknowledge the inequalities of the support for women for their dutiful service.  Also, the day was decided to be reserved to spotlight the thriving recruitment of women who continue to join the armed forces.
