No injuries in Havasu apartment fire

LAKE HAVASU CITY – No one was injured in a weekend fire at a two-story apartment complex in Lake Havasu City. Fire department personnel responded at 11:24 a.m. on May 31 to the incident in the 2000 block of Mesquite Avenue.

“The first arriving fire company reported a working kitchen fire in an apartment unit on the first floor,” a news release said. “Four engine companies, one truck company, a medic unit and a Battalion Chief responded to the fire and gained control of the fire in approximately 17 minutes.”

Salvage and overhaul operations continued another 2.5 hours. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
