Vegas man pleads guilty to multiple drunk driving offenses, receive 10.5 years prison

Interior of courtroom

BULLHEAD CITY — A 10.5-year prison term has been ordered for a Las Vegas man who pleaded guilty for a multiple vehicle, alcohol-involved traffic accident in Bullhead City. Isaias San Juan San Juan, 32, was sentenced October 15 by Mohave County Superior court judge Lee Jantzen.

Deputy county attorney James Schoppmann said San Juan was intoxicated when the vehicle he driving struck four others in the vicinity of the Bulhead Parkway and Highway 95 on July 26. He said a woman in one of the other vehicles now uses a cane because accident related injuries exacerbated other injuries she sustained during prior military service.

San Juan is convicted of aggravated assault, aggravated wrong way drunk driving and 4 other charges in the plea deal. Schoppmann said the defendant’s blood alcohol content measured more than twice the legal limit for operating a motor vehicle on the day of the incident.
