The Launch of Power AZ will assist local families

PHOENIX – This week, Governor Katie Hobbs and the Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES) launched Power AZ, expanding access to critical utility assistance to an estimated 30,000 households.

“DES is grateful for Governor Katie Hobbs’ ongoing commitment to Arizonans, as demonstrated by her administration’s investment in utility assistance,” said DES Director Michael Wisehart. “The launch of Power AZ is a significant milestone in how we support Arizona families facing the growing pressure of rising energy costs and the broader challenge of affordability. This $15 million investment is a direct commitment to the health and safety of our community’s most vulnerable residents. Our team is committed to making this process as seamless as possible through the DES A-to-Z Arizona Portal, ensuring that relief reaches those who need it. We are honored to be a part of this initiative.”

Individuals can learn more at des.az.gov, and apply through the DES A-to-Z Arizona Portal at AtoZ.az.gov.
