Temporary 4-Way Stop: Traffic Signal Upgrade at Acoma Boulevard N. and Palo Verde S.

LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Public Works Department announces the installation of a temporary 4-way stop scheduled for the upcoming Traffic Signal Upgrade project that impacts the intersection of Acoma Boulevard North and Palo Verde South from Monday, October 7th through Tuesday, October 15th, 2024.

The traffic signal is not operational while work is performed. Motorists are encouraged to exercise caution while approaching the temporary 4-way stop in the area, allow extra travel time, and follow all construction signage when driving through any construction area.

The schedule for this type of project is subject to change daily, depending on weather conditions.

The Traffic Signal Upgrade project aims to improve the existing infrastructure of traffic signals at various intersections within the city limits. Upgrades include but are not limited to replacing traffic signal cabinets, vehicle preemption detectors, and pedestrian push buttons to enhance pedestrian safety and advance operational industry standards.
