Disc golf to hold first state championship

LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Lake Havasu Disc Golf Club will be swirling their sport into autumn with an upcoming championship. Created by local disc golf enthusiasts, the club is always hyped up to come together and participate in the club’s ongoing competitions.  

The club welcomes the launch of the first ever Arizona Championships in Mohave County. The competition is expecting over two hundred players from all over the country hoping to take the win for the steadily increasing sport.

Nordic Boat Club held 3rd Annual Meetup

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Labor Day is normally the holiday that extends its farewells to the summer, however, the Nordic Boat owners Meetup event that occurred over the weekend celebrated the fading season in their own way. The Annual Nordic Boat Owner Meetup took place on Saturday, September 7 at Thompson Bay.

The man responsible for Nordic owner’s third yearly meetup is Trey Ordonez, a former owner of the Phoenix, Arizona boating company River Speed and Marine.

Owner of Define Boutique Kristina Winstead moved to Lake Havasu 17 years ago. Winstead’s business at first debuted as a parttime popup store at The Shops of Lake Havasu location. 

The store’s clothing and accessory products continued to attract local shoppers so much so that the entrepreneur moved her business

LAKE HAVASU CITY – I Love Lake Havasu is now seeking news correspondents to be a part of their Youtube news channel. Formally known as The Bridge Lake Havasu, the media company has turned nonprofit and has changed their name to, I Love Lake Havasu.

11th annual golf tourney to benefit Kiwanis

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Kiwanis of Lake Havasu will be swinging in their charitable ways into September at this year’s Krazy “5 Iron” Golf Tournament. The nonprofit was founded upon creating public events that the community can participate in showing that, “a little help” still goes a long way.  

Kiwanis has a solid reputation for building playgrounds, stocking libraries, and raising funds for backpacks to be filled with school supplies. The nonprofit’s last sporty fundraiser took place this past July with their vintage cartoon bowling tournament.
