KINGMAN – The wife of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz campaigned in Kingman on Monday, September 16 to encourage Kingman’s Democratic population to continue the campaign themselves for about 50 days until voter registration ends – 29 days before election day. A total of 115 Kingman Democrats attended the effort.

Why the Kathryn Heidenreich Adult Center is filled with art

KINGMAN – The Kathryn Heidenreich Adult Center holds their weekly painting classes every Tuesday of the month at 9 a.m. These classes are available to adults of any age for merely $2 per class. People with any level of art skills are welcome to join. The class is low-structure and adaptable to whatever level an attendee may be on. The center has enough art supplies to lend to anyone who would like to test out the class. Many more experienced people in the class are willing to give tips and help out other members of the class on their projects.

Cowboy Carnival; September’s First Friday rounding it up

KINGMAN – On September 7, Kingman held September’s First Friday starting at 5:30 up until the party died down. Keeping this month’s theme; Cowboy Carnival, many local country artists such as Dessert Sky at the Beer Garden and Shane Zen could be found scattered around Beale Street; Other artists could be found in many more areas of Beale Street, including The Cellar Door, Rickety Cricket Brewing, and West of 3rd. Kingsmen GCPRA Rodeo is back!

KINGMAN – The Kingsmen GCPRA Rodeo is back for another mutton-busting, bull-riding-filled festivity. The gates will be open at four on Friday, September 27, and Saturday, September 28. Kingman’s only rodeo will be launching the entertainment at six p.m. at the fairgrounds. Friday’s theme will be patriotic and Saturday’s theme will be Tough Enough to Wear Pink.

ACS Food Bank: “Our main goal is to be the hands and feet of Jesus and to serve the community”

KINGMAN – Adventist Community Services (ACS) has been holding their food bank for as long as the church has been in service – about 40 years. Adventist Community Services holds their food services once a week every Tuesday from 8 to 11 a.m. ACS also holds a separate food bank twice every month on Sundays for people who are unable to make it to the church on Tuesdays due to work or other barriers that may get in the way of receiving food that may be necessary for citizens.
