KINGMAN – A Golden Valley man pleaded not guilty to second degree murder during his Aug. 19 arraignment in Mohave County Superior Court. Kenneth Carter, 36, is charged in the Aug. 2 shooting death of David Roberts.
Sheriff’s Office personnel responding at 12:43 a.m. located the victim dead at the scene inside his home in the 3800 block of Diabase Drive.
KINGMAN – It’s been happening for decades and continues. Like gophers over the prairie, economic development project proposals keep popping up over the Hualapai Valley Groundwater Basin, an aquifer that many consider to be endangered, and one that most of the Kingman area population relies upon.
MOHAVE COUNTY – Democratic candidates visited three cities on Saturday, August 10 including Lake Havasu, Bullhead City and Kingman to discuss their platforms, meet voters, and answer questions. On Sunday, August 11, they continued on to Mesquite, Nevada and finished in Colorado City, Arizona.
Board of Supervisors Democratic candidates for Mohave County spoke to crowds about what they bring to the future of the county, and why they want to help shape the future.
KINGMAN – The Mohave County Master Gardeners will present a workshop on insect pests, on Saturday, Aug. 17 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Mohave County Cooperative Extension Office, 101 E. Beale St. The public is invited to learn about insect pests and how to protect your garden from the. The workshop is free and open to the public.
KINGMAN – The Mohave County Animal Shelter is filled to capacity with beautiful dogs who would love nothing more than to be adopted into a loving home.
To help ease the overcrowding, Best Friends Animal Society is sponsoring adoption fees on all of the adult dogs from August 10 through 24.
KINGMAN – The City of Kingman would like to provide the community with an update on the highly anticipated Eastern Street realignment project that kicked off in February of this year. This project was budgeted as part of the City’s FY24 5-Year Capital Improvement Plan, to create a more cohesive traffic flow for that area of town.
