Suspect arrested in BHC stabbing incident

KINGMAN – Police in Kingman have arrested a man who allegedly stabbed a man in Bullhead City in late March. A warrant had been issued for the arrest of Ryan William Shean, 30, Kingman.

Shean was taken into custody Thursday morning, May 14. He was booked into the Adult Detention Center on attempted murder and aggravated assault charges.

Bullhead City Police said a 24-year-old man was stabbed during a March 27 fight in the 1000 block of Mobile Lane. The unidentified victim suffered multiple injuries to his abdomen area, and he was flown to Las Vegas for treatment following initial transport to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center.

“It was reported that the victim and a male suspect were involved in a fight outside a residence,” said Bullhead City Police Spokeswoman Emily Fromelt. “Witnesses in the area reportedly broke up the fight and as the suspect ran away, the victim fired a shot.”

Fromelt said the shot struck no one and that no other injuries were reported.

  1. BHC has turned into a sewer, the drug pipeline from S. Cal has created a big city problem in a small town community. I can remember when I first moved here 18 years ago, it was older people trying to enjoy their retirment. Now it is all drugs, people begging on street corners, parking lots, and out right agressively pan handling and now gang like violence….The thing that I find weird is it can be traced to the attitude change of the local city governemnt. The old mayor and city councel that were here when I moved here were tough on begging and drugs while the current administration is laxed on it and care more about bringing money into town and having ” In god we trust” put over head in the councel chambers.Yes they put this kind of crap over the safety and protection of the BHC citizens, just watch the council meeting from a few weeks ago when they swept the real ussue of violence under the rug (when a citizen brought up the Colorado Blvd shooting) and made the over head design seem much more important. I can remember talking to a cop 18 years ago and commending him on the lack of beggers in BHC like we had in Tucson. He told me of the zero tolerance policy BHC had, but since Brady and the current council took over look what we have become !!!
