Seven comedians to perform for third annual show

LAKE HAVASU CITY – They say laughter is the best medicine and the Laughs on the Lake Comedy Show is not exactly a show where you should not leave the tissues at home.

This year’s third annual show is being brought to you by stand up comic Anthony Mitchell who is the founder of Mohave Comedy.  Originally form West Texas, Mitchell has previously performed in Micronesia, Hawaii. He was the featured stand up comic at the Jest Comedy Festival in Flagstaff Arizona. Mitchell likes to combine sassy humor that’s a little on the risky side.

It’s time to unleash those stored up chuckles and get ready to meet the comics of Laughs on the Lake Comedy Show.   The night will feature seven out of the nine stand up comics of Mohave Comedy that will make you laugh right out of your seats.

His humor may be dry, but when audiences listen to his routines, their eyes are anything but dry.  Meet Needles native Jessie Lee Hart who is one of the many acts performing this Saturday. Hart  hosts live comedy nights and also performs as a comedian regularly.

Californian comedian Andy Rice will be performing as well.  Rice is a longtime comic of the Orange County comedy scene and a member of several comedy groups.  Rice stays on point with sarcastic punchlines.

Ryan Kohn will join in on the act  and has been performing for three years.  Austin Farrell is another one not to miss if you enjoy a good storyteller that enjoys embracing awkward moments with humor. Let’s not forget, Lake Havasu’s own Sean Perry who will dark humor to the stage.

Farrell appreciates the many styles each performer brings to the show. “The best part for me about performing with Mohave Comedy is the comradery. Everyone works together and does their part to make these shows special. Each member is from a different walk of life and has a different style and skill level but we all come together and it shows the variety we have, there’s something for everyone.”

Hank Hilbert will be hitting the stage to bring some east coast flare to the performances.  Hilbert has previously performed in Chicago where he taught comedy at the famous Second City of Chicago.

Saturday’s Laughs on the Lake will be at the Heat Hotel in Lake Havasu City on Saturday November 11th from 8pm to 10pm.

Mitchell wanted to create a platform where local comedians can strut their jokes and grow as performers. The Head Comedian never gets tired of hearing the echoes of laughter invading a venue. “I enjoy the buzz you get from hearing the laughter.  For me, it sets off immediate endorphins.”   For comedian Kohn, it’s making people happy that makes the gig all worthwhile.  “I just enjoy making people happy and we’re able to provide a space where people can forget their worries and laugh for a while. We hope to do more shows and bring a comedic vibe to the area.”

Get ready to unwind and experience the comic relief of Laughs on the Lake Comedy Show. Your cheekbones and stomach muscles will be in for a real treat. This show will be free to the public.
