Rotary observes Social Work Month

KRMC Social Worker Marty Adams and Rotary President Becky Fawson

Kingman Route 66 Rotary Club’s featured speaker at its March 8 meeting was Marty Adams, Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) Social Worker, shown with club president Becky Fawson.

Adams is a 32-year resident of Kingman and has been with KRMC for 14 years. March is Social Work Month. Adams noted the 10 social workers at KRMC cover “womb to tomb” and all but two hold Master degrees. Among their responsibilities are assessment of all age ranges of patients, including mothers of newborns who may be addicted and thus need their infants tested, education of patients and their families, performance of mental assessment exams and referrals to mental health, if indicated. Adams can be contacted at madams@azkrmc.com.
