Return to God or death to America

Dear Editor,

Today I am very sad because of the state of affairs in America. It almost makes me think we have returned to the days of the Roman Empire. We are destroying ourselves from within. Jesus said, “A house divided against itself will not stand.”

This division between the people of this country is appalling. So much hatred and mistrust, no wonder there are so many mass killings going on. And they put the blame on Trump. Who did they blame when Obama was president? There was quite a few mass shootings then too. It’s not the fault of Trump, it’s all our faults. We have so divided this country starting with our Congress and all who hold political power in this country. It saddens me greatly to turn on the news and hear, another child dies in a car, or in a swimming pool, a small child dies in El Paso shooting. Like the Romans of yesteryear we are sacrificing our children to the gods of greed, lust and hatred.

I wrote another letter once before that said when a people rejects the God who gave us freedom, a God of love and peace, we soon become a nation of chaos and death. Look around, people. This country is being frowned upon by every nation in the world. Even the godless people of the world are laughing at us. It all started when we rejected God. So now there is only one answer. Return to the sovereign  God who gave us this country in the beginning or else death to America. Woe to those too blind to see.
