Registration for KYFL to begin

Coaches, parents and young athletes and cheerleaders are gearing up for the annual Kingman Youth Football League (KYFL) season. Separate registration opportunities are scheduled in early and mid-August.

Parents can sign up their third to sixth grade kids at the discounted rate of $75 during the First Friday festivities in downtown Kingman. KYFL officials will be handling registration from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. while manning a booth that will be set up between 4th and 5th streets on Friday, August 2.

It will cost $85 to sign up kids during registration scheduled at Kingman High School (KHS) August 14, 15, and 16. The sign up hours at the KHS auxiliary gym are from 4:30-6:30 p.m. each of those days.

About 165 youngsters participated in the KYFL last season. Football and cheer coaches are expected to begin practice just after Labor Day. Season games start Saturday, September 21, culminating in the Superbowl on November 9.
