Personal attack against business owners is wrong

Dear Editor,

I would like to thank the Kingman City Council and all of the hard-working people behind Kingman Main Street for the great job they have done renovating the downtown area. It is such a pleasure to go down there now.

That being said I do have to acknowledge one particular business owner. Although you have every right to put up signage about your beliefs. This comes off as an eyesore to the community. We get that you want to go back to the good old days. That is not going to happen.

Moving forward is always progress. I know you might hate that word as you do people that have different beliefs than you. Your signage clearly states that. Kingman is becoming a more diverse place. There is another trigger word, right?

You are allowed every right to do what you do but personal attacks against fellow business owners in the area is just wrong. Maybe that is why people shun your business because of your character. In closing I welcome the downtown area becoming more vibrant and the monetary benefits that will come from it.

I also will enjoy the fact that as this community grows and the diversity that comes with it will continue to make you uncomfortable. We as a community will continue to thrive without your help. I know because of your heritage you cannot help it but I choose not to hate.
