BULLHEAD CITY – Bullhead City hosted the 16th Annual Paul Walsh Veterans Day Parade Last Saturday morning in grand style with a nearly mile long procession of veterans floats, school teams. Vintage cars and trucks, 100 or more motorcycles and a plethora of sponsors vehicles in a seemingly endless line of supporters for our veterans.
The parade kicked off at 10 a.m. starting at the Riverview Shopping Mall on Miracle Mile, and proceeded south down Miracle Mile to Riverview Drive where the procession turned west to Hwy 95 and returned to their starting points.
All the local veterans organizations participated including the Colorado River VFW Post 10005, The American Legion Post 87, AmVets Post 19, Tri-state Military Moms, and many more.
The winners for the most patriotic floats this year were VFW Post 10005, (First Place), tri-state Military Moms (Second Place) and AmVets POst 19 (Third Place).
The Parade is named in honor of Paul Walsh who was a Korean War Veteran and member of the local 1st Marine division Association. Wlash organized the first of the Bullhead City Veterans Parades which were originally named the Tri-State Veterans Day Parade, it was renamed after Walsh’s passing in 2020 to reflect his commitment to the city and its many veterans.
