Parking lot improvements scheduled at Havasu parks beginning in June

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Lake Havasu City announces upcoming parking lot improvements at several City parks beginning Tuesday, June 2, as part of ongoing efforts to maintain and extend the life of public infrastructure.

Work includes applying HA5 surface treatment over existing asphalt at select locations. To allow the material to properly cure, each parking lot is temporarily closed to vehicle traffic for approximately 24 hours, beginning early in the morning on the scheduled date, and reopening the following morning. Advance notification signs are posted at each location several days before work begins.

Weather permitting, work is scheduled for Tuesday, June 2, at Avalon Park, Cypress Park, and the London Bridge Beach Park parking lots. On Friday, June 12, work takes place at the Dick Samp Park and Jack Hardie Park parking lots.

These improvements are part of the City’s ongoing pavement preservation program, helping to protect parking lot surfaces from wear and extend their usable life. Temporary closures are necessary to ensure the quality and longevity of the treatment.

Lake Havasu City appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation during this work and encourages residents to plan ahead when visiting park locations during the scheduled improvement dates.
