Bristow extends prison time for drugs possesion

KINGMAN – A Bullhead City man already serving prison time drew five years more at his Sept. 10 sentencing hearing in Kingman. Charles Bristow, 30, was sentenced to terms specified in a plea agreement approved by Mohave County Superior Court Judge Derek Carlisle. Bristow was sent to prison in December, 2017 and was to be released in July, 2021 for five local burglary convictions. He was serving his time at the privately operated state prison in Golden Valley when he was caught with drugs on July 23, 2018. Dear Editor, We understand that the NACFD board has sent a news release to you re: Our campaign signs. We explained our signs but the board still demanded our signs be taken down. In an effort to appease them we have altered our signs. I have attached a copy of our original response to the NACFD board. Gold Star ceremony honored fallen military heroes

LAKE HAVASU CITY – It was an especially moving evening for the military moms of Lake Havasu recently as the community honored the mothers of veterans who lost their children while serving this country.

The ceremony took place on Sunday, Sept. 29 at Wheeler Park. Gold Star Mothers Incorporated was created to keep the legacy alive of the fallen children who dedicated their time and service in the military.  

The last day Sunday in September is when the mothers who have lost sons and daughters honor their children with a candlelight ceremony in remembrance of their bravery.
