BYRON ELDON OWENS
Byron Eldon Owens, of Kingman, died Sunday, January 31, 2021. He was 95. Mr. Owens was born in 1925 in Everton, Missouri. A service will be held Tuesday, Feb. 9, at 1 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene in Kingman, with interment following at Mountain View Cemetery. The family contact is his son Kenneth Eldon Owens. Arrangements were made by Sutton Memorial Funeral Home.

Oct. 19, 1930 to Jan. 21, 2021 Marty as he was known to many was born in Allegan, Michigan to Ernest W. and Elva VanOrman Swanty. He was the third of four children and was raised on the family farm until 1945 when the family relocated to Mesa, Ariz. He attended Mesa High School where he excelled in football, earning a scholarship to Northern Arizona University. Following college, he married his first wife Diane Canning with whom he had two children, Jeff and Debbie. Karen Elizabeth Goodwin, of Kingman, died Wednesday, January 27, 2021. She was 76. Mrs. Goodwin was born Dec. 8, 1944 in Bridgeport, Conn. The family contact is her daughter Heather Kathleen Parker. Arrangements were made by Sutton Memorial Funeral Home.

Melinda Sue Avery, of Kingman, died Tuesday, January 26, 2021. She was 53. Mrs. Avery was born July 15, 1967 in Joliet, Ill. The family contact is her husband Jeffrey Wayne Avery. Arrangements were made by Sutton Memorial Funeral Home.
JUDY ANN (FINCH) SMITH
Longtime resident Judy Ann (Finch) Smith who was born on February 13, 1939, to Arlise and Vernie Finch in Kingman Arizona died on Sunday, January 24, 2021 due to Covid-19 complications. Her father’s family arrived in Kingman Arizona in 1921 in an old Model-T leaving the Sacramento Mountains in New Mexico to start a new life in Kingman. The Elks Club and Courthouse were already here, but there were very few houses. What is now Topeka used to be the old Highway 66. It came down through Slaughter House Canyon and down that way. GEORGE WILLIAM ‘BILL’ CLINCH
George William ‘Bill’ Clinch, of Kingman, died Thursday, January 14, 2021. He was 83. Mr. Clinch was born July 29, 1937 in Bell, Calif., to George William and Alta Irene (Tuttle) Clinch. A Kingman resident since 1999, Mr. Clinch was a self-employed retired plumber. He was a member of the VFW Post 3516, American Legional Post 13, and Moose Lodge. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife Kathleen Clinch of Kingman; daughter Cheri Parral of Bellflower, Calif.; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
