Nine arrested in Bullhead City sting targeting online predators

BULLHEAD CITY — Nine adult males were arrested Jan. 30 and 31 during an investigation targeting adult online predators seeking to engage in illicit activities in the Bullhead City area.

“This operation was designed to prevent and deter crimes against children while assuring the safety of our community,” said Anita Mortensen, public information specialist with the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO).

The suspects apprehended and booked into the Adult Detention Facility in Kingman range from 22 to 67 years of age.

“The individuals arrested in this operation had arranged to meet up with what they believed were children 15 years and younger for sexual related activities,” Mortensen said. “These arrests underscore the importance of vigilance and proactive involvement in children’s online activities.”

The MCSO extended thanks to the many law enforcement agencies and organizations that supported the child predator focused detail.
