New DES offices to be ready by February 2020

KINGMAN – Site preparation is underway where Sun State Builders of Phoenix will build a new 40,000 square foot office for the State of Arizona on Airway Avenue in Kingman. The project is located on an undeveloped 4.5-acre parcel between Kenneth and Adams Sts.

The new building will house about 75 state Department of Economic Security and Department of Child Services employees who currently work out of two offices downtown, one on Pine Street and the other on Beale Street.

The state has placed the 1.5-acre parcel on Beale Street on the market for $1.5 million. That property between Fifth and Sixth Streets features a 19,000-square-foot building and two large parking lots.

The Arizona Department of Administration said the new office on Airway should be ready for occupancy next February.
